Vedam is one of the most technically diverse design and technical consultancy firms in India today. It is the only company of its kind to provide a complete gamut of services to shipyards and ship owners worldwide.
Vedam, which is now an ISO 9001-2000 certified organisation, began with the dream of 3 IIT technocrats. Having witnessed a growth of over 300% since its inception, Vedam has made the leap from small entrepreneur setup to the fastest growing marine consultancy firm and professionally-managed ship design organization.
Today Vedam, which is more than 50 strong, has built up an impressive client list to include more than 75 ship owners and ship builders across more than 10 countries, namely India, U.S.A., Germany, Holland, Bangladesh, Dubai, Singapore, China, Denmark, Greece, Korea and many more to come. |

Vedam completely understands and respects our clients’ need for confidentiality. To safeguard the rights of our clientele we have put in place internal systems to ensure controlled access to designs and documents with the help of secure data transfer systems. We maintain employees who are well-trained in standardised security practices. We have also developed non-disclosure agreements which are in line with ISO 27001:2005. We are currently awaiting certification for the same. |

Over the years, Vedam has established a very good reputation for itself with regards to maintaining a suitable work environment. Since our entire business model revolves around people, we have always endeavoured to create a work environment that attracts, nurtures and develops talent. We give our designers the confidence to take on the responsibility of a project, thereby encouraging project ownership. Vedam was founded by three bright young naval architects namely Akshay Jain, Rakesh Roy and Rajnish. All graduates of IIT-Madras, they have practical shipbuilding experience of more than 15 years combined. They have worked with a vast number of shipyards, covering more than 12 countries. |

Mr. Advani has to his credit more than 35 years of new building experience, globally.
Vedam is equipped with a team of more than 50 designers which includes highly qualified professional Naval Architects, Mechanical Engineers, Marine Engineers, Electrical Engineers and Marine Draftsman.
